Black Friday is the best Friday to give CBD a try

Here’s why.

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for those close to us, our family members, friends and of course, our furry loved ones. Our products can enhance wellbeing, support internal balance and overall healthy lifestyle of your pets.

We pride ourselves on our home-grown hemp, our close relationship with veterinarians and ensuring that we are abiding by all the latest CBD guidelines. We’re also committed to educating people on all things CBD so here’s some 101’s you need to know.

What is CBD?

Naturally found to be present in cannabis plants, CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is part of the larger cannabinoid family. Unlike other elements, such as THC, our CBD products will not produce a high but will promote relaxation and potential relief.

How CBD works in animals

CBD can be given to animals in different ways, such as powders, oils and edibles. Studies have shown that CBD is better absorbed when given as a chewable treat like our CBD treats for dogs, or in oil form such as our cat calming products, which can be administered into the mouth or combined with wet or dry food. Even though administering CBD to pets might seem challenging at first, the tasty treats and dropper-based oils make it a relatively easy and smooth process.

How can my pet benefit from CBD?

In 2018, a study was conducted which showed how CBD increased comfort as well as activity in cats and dogs that suffer from osteoarthritis and post-operative pain. For dogs that suffer from epilepsy, the study also showed great results in reducing the number of seizures a pet can have.

What veterinarians say…

Veterinarians around the world are excited about how CBD can help animals. There is a very small amount of solutions available to treat illnesses such as osteoarthritis, epilepsy, and anxiety (amongst others) without any harsh side effects and, although studies continue, there is a possibility that CBD may help alleviate some of these concerns. Veterinarian Stephanie McGrath said, “If CBD works, then I think it would hit the mark of being both effective and not carrying a lot of side effects so that’s kind of what we’re hoping for.”
Research into the benefits of CBD for animals continues and we will be the first to let you know all the exciting and hopeful news.
